About the position:

This is a key position reporting directly to the CEO and responsible for strategic marketing planning and driving growth of WCD working with Membership and Development through increased brand awareness and effective communications.

Key Responsibilities include:

Work closely with the CEO, WCD team, and marketing agency to define the strategic objectives for marketing and build strong working relationships to deliver team results.

  • Execute marketing and brand plans, resulting in consistent messaging and increased brand awareness.
  • Create and execute innovative and compelling marketing campaigns that align with strategic plan and analyze performance that leverages behavioral interest profiling to drive membership and sponsor growth
  • Drive campaign management for member programs across multiple channels
  • Work with the Senior Director of Membership to create and execute a member relations and growth plan that attracts new and retains existing members.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Sponsorships to create and execute a sponsor plan that attracts new and retains existing sponsors.
  • Oversee global communications event strategy and execution for Institutes and events, and support chapter events as requested.
  • Manage communications including executive communications, messaging development, and Public Relations including member success stories, case studies, CEO remarks for keynotes and panels, press releases, tool kits, and content for marketing collateral, website/blog/social media
  • Manage and lead marketing team.
  • Provide feedback regarding member service offers and participate in its development; collaborate to create, launch, and track performance of service offerings in the WCD markets.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate member/speaker/sponsor enablement toolkits.
  • Execute online and offline marketing initiatives, by integrating online and new media, email, print, social media, company website, SEM/SEO strategy development, brand awareness and drip marketing initiatives. The ability to speak to how these channels work together is very important.

 Skills/Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing industry, including strategic marketing planning
  • Proven track record developing and executing successful communications, content, and innovative brand campaigns that have an impact
  • Skilled and proven experience bringing new campaigns and ideas to life.
  • Experience leading the development of innovative and effective awareness and brand marketing campaigns that have an impact
  • Adept in online and traditional marketing
  • Highly skilled in visual communications and website management
  • History of successfully utilizing events as a key platform for growth in the awareness and demand generation.
  • Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting the job done”.
  • Able to coordinate across teams and perform in fast-moving environment.
  • Skilled at using data to measure results and informed decision making and strategy development.
  • Proven ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
