If you are excited by the opportunity to use your troubleshooting and training skills in a company whose mission is to help make a difference in our environment, read on!  Silver Bullet Water Treatment is seeking a Regional Field Service Technician for the southeastern US region.  Our proprietary and proven non-traditional water treatment system virtually eliminates microorganisms and scale formation without the use of any added harmful chemicals.  Silver Bullet’s technology has been successfully operating in office buildings, hospitals, data centers, hotels, convention centers, factories and dairy, poultry and pig farms through the US since 2011.  Specifically, the Agricultural Division treats animal drinking water without adding toxic chemicals and ensures our precious livestock will be raised in a healthy environment without the threat of bacteria, fungi and parasites which can cause disease or death.

About the position:

You will be responsible for pre and post-sales support of existing and new water treatment customers to ensure customer retention and equipment functionality.  Providing initial and ongoing technical training of our corporate customer’s service techs and end users as well as the operations of water treatment devices in the field is an important part of the job.  This includes site surveys, installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer service and technical support.  Optimizing customer uptime and satisfaction is mission critical.  The position requires both in office and on-site support for customers nationwide.  This position is newly created to support our growing customer base in this territory.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Identify our customer’s technician service training needs and ensure they are fully met, including workshops, formal classroom and on the job training
  • Coordinate training requirements of customers and manage training calendar
  • Evaluate the installation site to ensure proper use and installation of equipment
  • Install SB’s water treatment products at customer locations (may include uncrating, removal of packing materials, transporting equipment to installation site, mechanical assembly, custom piping and fabrication, and technical documentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and water testing
  • Document all service calls and preventative maintenance and ensure all service records and documentation is completed and saved in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Identify product defects and communicate through the proper channels to solve the issue

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • 5+ years experience organizing and managing accounts as a service technician, preferably in the agriculture (poultry) or water treatment industry
  • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical devices and tools, and testing equipment
  • Ability to effectively speak with customers and to explain complicated processes in simple terms
  • Demonstrated trouble shooting capability
  • Comfortable with MS Office and CRM system
  • Active driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to travel up to 90% of the time statewide (TN) and parts of GA, AL, MS, and KY within a 200 mile radius of Chattanooga
