Kruse Financial, a successful financial management firm, is seeking a talented self-starter as a Paraplanner for our growing practice. We are proud of our 28 year foundation of being in business and have established an outstanding reputation in our area. You will join a talented team of dedicated professionals which serves our many individual and business clients offering financial planning and asset management. This is a new position created to support our busy Principal and allow him the ability to further grow the practice. There is much room for growth and no time to get bored. Snapshot of key accountabilities:

As a member of our financial management team, you will be reporting directly to our Principal in the preparation of comprehensive financial plans, navigating our technology for use during client meetings, and managing exceptional client relationships.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial plans with data gathering and inputting information into our planning software obtained from careful review of clients’ goals and objectives
  • Actively participate in case design and meeting preparation for clients
  • Assist with clients’ accountants, attorneys and other advisors to help create a strong relationship as a team to ensure a comprehensive financial plan
  • Maintain clear communication with clients to ensure outstanding service
  • Proactively identify client’s issues/opportunities as a result of having an intimate knowledge of our client’s financial life
  • Actively document all notes and action items from client meetings and ensure all commitments are being completed and/or followed up on in a timely manner

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • At least 2 years experience in the financial, investment or insurance industries
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with ability to read and analyze financial documents and spreadsheets
  • Able to deal with confidential information on a daily basis
  • Very strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Experience with financial planning software is of value
  • Finra Series 6 or 7, 63 and 65, or 66 is a plus; must be willing to acquire these licenses
  • Willingness to complete the Paraplanner course through the College of Financial Planning within the first 2 years of employment
  • 4 year college degree in Finance, Accounting or Math is highly preferred
