About the position:

The KAM (Key Account Manager) will be responsible for maintaining long term key customers by understanding their needs. The ideal candidate will manage the order fulfillment process, provide solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction with the clients. The goal of this individual will be to not only sustain present business but to also achieve long-term success.

This is an opportunity to interact with sales, the project team, and purchasing in ensuring an efficient and smooth ordering process.  You will be responsible for obtaining the specs from sales, the cost from the project team, preparing a quote and sample requests, and following through with the customer at every step, keeping all activities current and transparent.

  • Manage the process of order fulfillment by: Reviewing, confirming and entering the customer’s purchase orders, keeping track of order status for timely shipment and payment, and reviewing customer related reports and resolving any noted problems or delays to ensure a high level of service to the customers
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of products, processes, and policies to meet and exceed customer requirements
  • Work closely with the sales and project teams to ensure service standards are met and exceeded
  • Help shape and maintain internal procedures by ensuring they are being followed through all project management processes
  • Provide a high energy, positive, and enthusiastic customer experience
  • Build relationships and develop partnerships with customers to fulfill their needs
  • Provide valuable feedback to the sales representatives and management team
  • Increase sales by maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ of high level customer service experience is required
  • Strong problem solving ability and understanding of client’s needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Detailed oriented, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

A Plus:

  • Experience with CRM
  • Intermediate QuickBooks knowledge
