About the position:

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Controller, our ideal candidate will have a head for numbers, experience with MS Excel, and strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment. 

Key Jr. Accountant responsibilities:

  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Follow up with outstanding accounts receivable and collections from customers
  • Act as backup accounts payable, act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing
  • Assist in completing audits
  • Prepare journal entries when necessary
  • Prepare accounting reports and inventories as necessary in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support and manage inventory cycle counts
  • File required state and use taxes

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

·        Associates Degree in Accounting required from an accredited university, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or comparable Business area a plus.

·        2 or more years’ related experience

·        Fundamental knowledge of US GAAP as they apply to financial reporting

·        Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen

·        Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)

·        Familiarity with ERP systems/computer systems preferred

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills

·        Excellent problem-solving skills

·        Excellent organizing abilities

·        Ability to work well on a team and contribute as a valuable team member

·        Team player who can interact well with all employees.
