Customer Service Rep – Pompano Beach, FL

If you thrive in an environment that moves very quickly and is always changing, we would like to hear from you!  Decimal Engineering is a leading manufacturer providing sheet metal fabrication and machining services for a wide variety of industries.   We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team of talented professionals.  As our gatekeeper, you will be responsible for the entire flow of information from the customer to the company, from the initiation of an order, to production, to shipment, and problem resolution.  So if you enjoy a heavy workload and deadlines, read on!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the efficient handling of customer orders including pricing, quotes, inventory and delivery
  • Work closely with our estimator to determine pricing for final approval by the President with a 24 hour turnaround
  • Lead daily review of pending quotes with Estimator
  • Expedite orders and handle returns to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the maintenance, development and growth of sales for selected in-house accounts
  • Participate in the planning of and attendance to local trade shows

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years in customer service in a B2B environment
  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High school diploma

 

Preferred:

  • Phone sales experience in a B2B environment
  • 2 or 4 year college degree
