Snapshot of key accountabilities:

The Director of HR will have full responsibility for all areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, policies and procedures, and compliance.   Key initiatives include:

  • Act as ambassador of our core values and ensure all employees are engaged in practicing them daily
  • Develop a robust talent acquisition process including best practices in recruitment and selection with the goal of establishing a consistent process and hiring A players
  • Create an ongoing training and development program through identification of needed skills and helping our employees achieve them
  • Ensure a smooth on boarding and orientation process so that new employees have a positive and beneficial starting experience
  • Manage the performance review process company including establishing clear job roles for each position, metrics, and accountability
  • Improve and promote communication between employees maintaining our family feel as we grow
  • Ensure our benefits are competitive in the marketplace

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience in HR including strong recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, compliance and other key areas of the HR spectrum
  • Has operated as an HR department of one with experience of having built an HR department from infancy
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and the HR issues of hourly workers
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Bilingual is highly preferred
  • 4 year degree is strongly preferred, preferably in the HR field
  • PHR or SPHR certification is highly preferred
