Wholesale Sales Manager – Doral, FL

We are a leading flower grower and importer seeking a Wholesale Sales Manager to join our dynamic team.  Our company is focused on nourishing the flowers we grow and dedicated to providing our customers with reliable, personalized care. We offer a wide variety of fresh cut flowers specializing in roses, spray roses, lilies, mini carnations, poms, hydrangeas, fillers and more.  This is an opportunity to take our company to the next level by increasing sales to wholesalers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead a sales team of 6+ including weekly sales meetings and assisting with opening new accounts
  • Manage the sales process including new customers, leads and opportunities
  • Manage and sell to own accounts
  • Visit accounts as necessary
  • Upsell existing customers to maximize sales
  • Develop and track yearly sales and gross margin budgets by salesperson, week, customer and product
  • Manage open market pricing and inventory
  • Coordinate with purchasing quotes for new sales opportunities
  • Plan and attend customer and trade shows
  • Coordinate sales with farm availability for weekly and promo business

Requirements:

 

  • 5-7 years in wholesale sales with experience in the floral industry or in perishable products
  • Minimum 2 years in sales management
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • 4 year degree preferred
