The Shipping Manager is responsible for strategically planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, customer service and finished goods inventory both domestically and internationally. Snapshot of key accountabilities:
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle (scheduling, picking, packing, shipping and receipt)
- Develop a strategy for an overall freight plan that positively impacts sales including the evaluation of current carriers, systematic delivery of monthly shipments, aggressive negotiation to drive down freight rates, etc.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse staff toward achieving daily distribution and operations goals
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Participate in problem solving and implementing process improvements including streamlining work process
- Analyze warehouse capacity and optimize space
- Manage inventories by tracking inventory records reflecting product movement, notifying departments when supplies of specific items are low, or when orders would deplete available supplies
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements including company requirements including all safety, quality and operational documentation and practices

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:
- 7+ years of distribution experience including shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse organization, order processing and cycle counting
- Deep knowledge of freight and logistics
- Record of successful retail distribution and logistics management in domestic and international markets (specifically Latin America and the Caribbean)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
- Demonstrated analytical skills with a problem solving and process improvement orientation
- Strongly data driven
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, business or other relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience
- Bilingual is a huge plus
