Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Review and prepare tax returns, perform tax research, and work with the firm’s Partners, Managers and clients on tax matters
  • Assist with the implementation of tax planning and tax savings strategies, as well as research and consult on complex tax matters
  • Actively supervise most aspects of engagement and work directly with Partners on 50% of engagements, while working with Tax Manager on 50%

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Minimum 2-4 years public accounting experience (Big 4 and/or Regional Accounting firm experience a plus)
  • Certified Public Accountant or strong demonstrated progress toward CPA license
  • Strong Partnership, C-Corp, S-Corp, and Individual  tax preparation and review experience
  • ASC 740, ASC 740-10 and multi-state experience preferred but not required
  • General knowledge of FASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation or LLM a plus
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with tax technology similar to CCH WK, ProSystem Tax, Engagement, Fixed Assets required
