About the position:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing market share and driving revenue growth in Florida.  Initially, this role will be responsible for hands-on new business development from prospecting to closing.  After an agreed upon timeframe, you will assume responsibility for recruiting, hiring and managing a sales team in Florida.

New Business development key accountabilities:

  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities through continuous prospecting using a variety of strategies including cold calling, networking groups, and leads provided by the company when available, etc.
  • Develop campaigns to maximize sales through analysis of local markets to identify market opportunities and prospective clients
  • Gather client intelligence prior to appointments and build a program to best meet their needs with a tailored sales presentation
  • Follow up on referrals provided by the company and clients, as well as self-generated leads to identify buyer influences and any timing issues; prepare reports on status of leads and other reports as required
  • Thoroughly understand and communicate our value proposition to new customers
  • Negotiate pricing and secure approved contract and ensure the transition is executed to client’s satisfaction
  • Meet regularly with new clients to assess level of satisfaction with services and to develop a list of strong referrals
  • Participate in trade associations and trade shows and assist with other promotional efforts
  • Keep current on the industry by attending educational workshops to enhance technical knowledge, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks in the community, participating in professional groups

Sales Management key accountabilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Recruit and hire the BEST team of business developers
  • Coach, motivate and monitor performance of the team
  • Develop and present sales, revenue and expense and realistic forecasts to the management team on a regular basis
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Proven business development experience selling services to commercial accounts, preferably in the building services industry
  • Strong understanding of how to sell services
  • Accustomed and comfortable with long sales cycles
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, coaching and managing performance of a sales team
  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from CEO to front office personnel and interact effectively across diverse cultures
  • Highly skilled in persuasive oral and written communications, including effective executive level presentation skills
  • Good understanding of security hardware, software, implementation and current trends in security technology is highly desired
  • Bachelors Degree highly preferred
  • Intermediate level in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
