If you are excited by the opportunity to use your exceptional technical skills in a company whose mission is to help make a difference in our environment, read on!  Silver Bullet Water Treatment, based in Denver, is seeking a Regional Field Service Technician for the Hopkinsville, KY area and surrounding region (Iowa, Southern Minnesota, Eastern Nebraska,  Northern Missouri).   Silver Bullet Water Treatment (SB) produces and installs AOP, filtration, UV, and other conventional water treatment products.  SB operates in industries such as agriculture, municipal, industrial, food & beverage, oil/gas, and others. Agriculture is our primary market; we know that water is the most important element in raising productive, healthy livestock. Untreated or poorly treated drinking water can carry bacteria, fungi and parasites and can cause disease or death. The Silver Bullet Water Treatment system is rented B2B monthly to provide a safe and efficient system for our customers.

About the position:

You will be responsible to providing initial and ongoing technical support of customers including the operations of water treatment devices in the field:  site surveys, installations, plumbing and piping, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer service, and technical support. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear focus, is self-motivated and driven, and works to invigorate and improve performance, results and quality of the customers’ experience.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Evaluate the installation site to ensure the proper use and installation of equipment.
  • Install Silver Bullet water treatment products at customer locations. Installation may include uncrating, removal of packing materials, transporting equipment to installation site, mechanical assembly, custom piping and fabrication, and technical documentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and water testing per Silver Bullet’s recommended schedules
  • Adhere to strict bio security protocols in the region
  • Interact with a diverse employee and customer base in situations requiring tact, poise and diplomacy
  • Document all calls for service and preventative maintenance and interface with technical support center as required.
  • Ensure all required service records and documentation is completed and saved in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Utilizes the call escalation process and communicates customer issues to optimize customer uptime and satisfaction while maintaining ownership of the issue.
  • Takes ownership of difficult circumstances and shows a sense of urgency in getting results prioritized by Service Management for the customer
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritize information from the field of defects and communicate this information thru the proper channels to solve the issues.
  • Interact and communicate Customers, Dealers, Facility Engineers and Maintenance professionals
  • Adhere to company goals and objectives of safety, quality, business ethics, and budget
  • Travel up to 50% daily within about 100 miles of Fayetteville; overnight travel is less frequent

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • 5+ year diversified experience organizing and managing accounts as a service technician, preferably in the agriculture or water treatment industry
  • Ability to effectively speak with customers and to explain complicated processes in simple terms
  • Displays a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and mechanical devices, tools, and testing equipment
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting capability
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills. Must be highly skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently with little management oversight
  • Ability with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with a CRM system
  • Active driver’s license and clean driving record; willingness to travel statewide/regionally
  • Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder and frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
