About the position:

The Regional Business Development Manager will plan, organize, direct and control all business development and sales in your territory from prospecting to closing. You will be responsible for driving revenue and profit performance through securing new clients and servicing existing clients, as well as developing a growth plan to achieve business results.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities through continuous prospecting using a variety of strategies cold calling, networking groups, etc)
  • Develop campaigns to maximize sales through analysis of local markets to identify market opportunities and prospective companies
  • Gather client intelligence prior to appointments and build a program to best meet their needs with a tailored sales presentation
  • Follow up on referrals and self generated leads to identify buyer influences and any timing issues; prepare reports on status of leads and other reports as required
  • Thoroughly understand and communicate our value proposition to new customers
  • Negotiate pricing and secure approved contract and ensure the transition is executed to client’s satisfaction
  • Meet regularly with new clients to assess level of satisfaction with services and to develop a list of strong referrals
  • Participate in trade associations and trade shows and assist with other promotional efforts
  • Keep current on the industry by attending educational workshops to enhance technical knowledge, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks in the community, participating in professional groups

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Proven business development/sales experience with a building or facilities services company serving commercial accounts (security guards, janitorial, maintenance, etc)
  • Strong understanding of how to sell services
  • Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from CEO to front office personnel and interact effectively across diverse cultures
  • Highly skilled in persuasive oral and written communications, including effective executive level presentation skills
  • Good understanding of security hardware, software, implementation and current trends in security technology is highly desired
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Intermediate level in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
