QC Manager – Pompano Beach, FL

If you thrive in an environment that moves very quickly and is always changing, we would like to hear from you!  Decimal Engineering is a leading manufacturer providing sheet metal fabrication and machining services for a wide variety of industries.   We are seeking a QC Manager to join our team of talented professionals.  Reporting to the President, this key position is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products and services manufactured and provided by Decimal.  The QC Manager must create and maintain a quality culture throughout the company by inspiring  employees to provide the highest level of quality.

Snapshot of key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain and grow a quality organization, including being the company ISO Champion
  • Manage QC Supervisor and Inspectors
  • Manage the internal audit process, including training, and supplier audits per ISO requirements
  • Ensure calibration systems are up to date and all equipment/instruments are calibrated per schedule
  • Identify product quality problems, facilitate the investigation of non-conformances and the initiation of root cause and corrective action
  • Establish, maintain and communicate monthly KPI’s through meaningful metrics that ensure company goals and objectives are being met
  • Coordinate and facilitate quarterly company Town Hall meetings

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years in Quality Control/Assurance Management
  • Extensive experience with ISO 9001, preferably developed an ISO system from initial audit through to certification and has maintained the certification
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Preferred:

  • 8+ years in QC/Assurance in a sheet metal and machine job shop
  • AA or BS degree in business or materials related field
