Snapshot of Key Accountabilities:

  • Track budget by approving invoices and matching them to job cost items
  • Work with installation crews to ensure top quality results
  • Learn to oversee estimating process to include material and quantity estimates
  • Establish project timeline and milestones
  • Obtain specific resources with the help of the senior team needed for success of the project
  • Visit job sites on a daily basis as required to manage progress , report weekly to main office with pictures and progress report and the following week’s plan
  • Responsible for overseeing assigned projects from inception to completion
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
  • Ensure timely customer billing based on progress
  • Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
  • Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to construction sites.
  • Minimize company exposure and risk.
  • Enforce company purchase order procedures.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with customers and vendors based on prompt and professional communication.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in high end residential construction managing multiple projects
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, material ordering, and project close-out
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Experience working with building inspectors
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
  • Understands the basics of Florida building codes
  • 4 year degree in construction management or related field
  • High energy level  and willing to work long hours
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks is helpful
