About the position:

The General Manager will be responsible for our Retail Division which offers sales, installation, and maintenance for our residential and commercial customers.   Primary responsibilities are to oversee all sales revenue, marketing strategies and trends, as well as motivating and training the retail staff of technicians and installers.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:


  • Hire, coach, mentor and supervise service, maintenance and installation technicians as well as sales personnel
  • Establish an efficiency rating system for all technicians at all levels
  • Generate a call back procedure and tracking system of the who’s, whys and how to avoid
  • Review and monitor all timecards and inventory disbursement for retail staff


  • Establish training schedule and calendar
  • Monitor and track attendance of training
  • Establish and submit monthly report to President of progress of staff
  • Establish training manual and update as necessary
  • Conduct ride- alongs with technicians and comfort consultants

Sales Management:

  • Review and establish bonus spreadsheet to be submitted weekly
  • Conduct sales calls on a regular basis with or without staff including follow up visits to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Oversee that all sales meet established gross margins criteria
  • Establish price book
  • Provide detailed lead report with source and closed sales on monthly and yearly basis
  • Provide sales revenue of each technician and comfort consultant on a monthly and yearly basis


  • Work with advertising team       on innovative ideas and marketing strategies

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the HVAC industry in all aspects of the cycle from the sale to installation to ongoing customer service
  • Management experience of at least 5 technicians
  • Training experience is a must
  • Excellent sales skills as well as marketing visions
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups (such as a Homeowners Association)
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Bilingual is of value
