Snapshot of key accountabilities:

The Estimator/PM will be accountable for ensuring all client expectations are exceeded which includes meeting our contractual obligations, proper job planning, completion of proper documents, schedules are met and our high standards of quality are met on every project. This position will assist in facilitating all phases required of the sales department and the individual construction projects between our clients, sales team, staff, and production team.

This position entails the following sales, estimating and project management responsibilities:

  • Seek out, create and maintain long term win-win relationships with purchasers of commercial re-roofing and new construction projects in line with our niche markets
  • Build effective relationships with clients, design teams, specialty contractors, suppliers and user groups and exceed their expectations
  • Accountable for consistently meeting or exceeding monthly billing and sales goals
  • Assure all projects are estimated and presented properly and professionally
  • Assist Chief Estimator in the creation, preparation and proper maintenance of our commercial bid calendar
  • Preparation of customer proposals that are complete and accurate
  • Review all project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team and client to confirm complete scope
  • Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing
  • Review all pricing and scope of specialty contractor bids
  • Coordinate project insurance requirements with Risk Manager
  • Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs
  • Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economic alternative of each project
  • Prepare Bill of Materials, Scope of Work, Shop Drawings, Submittals, MSDS Sheets, Engineering Calculation, Permit Applications and Submission, Job Budgets, Schedule of Values, Change Orders, Warranty Applications and Manufacture Inspections
  • Buy out all projects, materials, cranes, dumpsters and subcontractors in accordance with job estimate and contract
  • Assist in the approval of all subcontractor and supplier payments

  • 5 -8 years estimating and project management experience in roofing for new construction and re-roofing
  • Re-roofing sales experience isa priority
  • Ability to coordinate and supervise team work efforts
  • Knowledge of Florida Building Code required; Dade Country Building codes preferred
  • Sales ability to secure projects
  • MS Word, Excel, Outlook – intermediate
  • Edge estimating software preferred and knowledge of FCS a plus
