Snapshot of key accountabilities:
- Assist the Chief Estimator in establishing budgets
- Analyze blueprints to prepare estimates including material, equipment, labor and services
- Establish project timeline
- Create scope of work associated with estimate for proposal documentation and submittal
- Review plan changes and create revised budgets
- Minimize company exposure and risk
- Ensure that all project reports and documents are correct and accurate
- Ensure timely change order creation and billing
- Update estimating takeoffs and cost estimates dictated by market trends associated with labor, material and equipment
- Consult with engineers, architects, clients, vendors, or field management to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Required:
Must haves:
- Minimum 4 years experience in construction and 2 years estimating experience
- College degree in construction in lieu of experience – we will train!
- Experience with estimating, scheduling, material costs and customer service
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Understand the basics of building codes in divisions 3,4,5, and 6
- Understand how building is done in the field and materials used, i.e. knowledge of how concrete is poured, what kind of concrete to use, etc.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Proficient with MS Office
