If driving revenue and achieving results gets you going, we want to hear from you!    World Emblem is a fast growing company in the design and manufacture of custom embroidered, direct embroidered and screen printed emblems.  We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Director to join our talented team of professionals.  Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be leading the business development, sales, marketing and customer service teams with accountability for talent acquisition,  performance management, team building and employee engagement.   Identifying commercial activities and driving growth at a high level is a critical component of this position.  This includes the development and implementation of market and business development strategies by identifying new opportunities  and developing new client relationships.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the successful execution of the sales and marketing strategy which accelerates sales force performance, promotes selling on value vs. price, and positions the company for continued long-term profitable growth
  • Create a sales structure which maximizes sales potential by developing plans to accelerate sales performance
  • Provide oversight and insight for specific marketing activities including research and data management, product management and development of marketing communications
  • Play a critical role in new market development, as well as ensuring sales and marketing are focused and aligned on the most profitable market segments
  • Create a high performance culture where accountability is pushed through the department and individuals perform against clear metrics
  • Develop a high performing sales and marketing team by continually assessing the team’s skills and competencies with a focus on driving sales and growing the business profitably, hiring and onboarding talent into key positions, and establishing clear performance expectations and rapidly addressing performance issues

 Skills/Experience/Knowledge Required:


  • Proven track record of leading a sales and marketing department that exceeded performance objectives
  • Strong experience developing, motivating and managing a team of at least 50 associates
  • Experience working in a business to business environment with an emphasis on delivering excellent service to its customers
  • Demonstrated track record of assessing sales drivers and using data and other sales tools to evaluate and manage performance
  • Experience in forecasting and executing sales plans
  • Strong sales operations experience to include the creation of successful, repeatable processes to assess sales drivers
  • Experience with new business development and growing the existing customer base
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field is required; Masters degree is preferred
