Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Motivate and manage a team of 10 sales people and hold them accountable to hit sales objectives and develop key strategic partnerships
  • Expand the sales team by adding A players
  • Increase the number of good performing loans  that fit within our guidelines
  • Expand market share in our current 30 states and potential expansion into new states
  • Grow the number of active dealers
  • Implement a formal sales process
  • Create and implement an environment of constant training with a formal weekly training program for the sales reps and a formal process to train our dealers
  • Track and report the sales team’s performance and rankings, as well as company KPI’s
  • Increase dealer efficiencies in capture rate and look-to-book

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in the automotive industry either at the Sales Manager level or higher in a dealership, financial institution or company within the auto industry  
  • Regional or multi-state responsibility  is a must
  • Understanding of consumer or auto finance
  • At least 5 years managing a sales team of 10+ with a proven track record of being able to inspire and develop A+ salespeople who constantly rank at the top of the sales organization
  • Ability to travel at least 35% of the time visiting dealers and attending networking conferences, as well as presenting at industry trade shows
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills and polished phone demeanor
  • Proficient with the use of various software and hardware (smartphones, tablets, computers), apps, internet,  MS Office
  • Proficient with a CRM system such as SalesForce, MS CRS, etc.)
