The Director of Logistics is a new position on our Procurement team and based in Loveland, Colorado.  We are seeking a hands on/doer who is comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working alongside your team to help manage the workload as the company matures.

About the position:

Reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain, the Director of Logistics will be responsible for all external logistics from suppliers to the dock and for finished product delivery to customers.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and negotiate with 3PL companies for best cost and delivery per region
  • Develop strategic roadmap for partnerships and supply routes for future growth
  • Manage all import/export requirements, routine pick up and delivery, packaging design, etc.
  • Analysis and presentation of KPIs
  • Execute one off pick up requests or expedite requests for regular manufacturing as well as prototype build events
  • Work with the Material Planning team to plan material movements and provide expenditure forecasts

 

Skills/Knowledge and Experience:

Required:

  • 10 years experience in logistics in the automotive, aerospace, train/rail, or appliance industries
  • Experience leading specific initiatives and managing teams
  • Detail oriented, organized and comfortable using various tracking tools
  • Self-starter willing to evaluate and contribute to enable the team and improve the work environment
  • Experience negotiating 3PL contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelors Degree

 

Compensation:

$125,000 to $160,000 DOE
