If you love the idea of making an impact on the community with a strong mission oriented organization, we want to hear from you!  Planned Parenthood is seeking a dynamic HR professional to join our talented team.  Our ideal candidate is professionally mature who can assess and own their responsibilities.  You will be a member of the management team and report to our CEO and also work closely with our COO on day-to-day matters.  The Director of HR will be responsible for all HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, policies and procedures, and compliance.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  •  Ensure we are equipped to attract, retain and motivate a high quality, diverse workforce enabling us to carry out our mission and achieve our objectives
  • Promote an organizational culture that embraces our workplace values of respect, caring, support, effective communication, teamwork, collaboration , accountability  and responsibility
  • Provide leadership in recruitment by generating high quality candidates and enhancing the talent pipeline
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding and orientation process so that new employees have a positive and beneficial starting experience
  • Proactively recommend and manage programs that will work towards improving employee retention ie. Compensation, benefits, employee engagement, training/learning opportunities
  • Provide support to our newer managers through coaching and training of our performance management and employee relations processes
  • Act as liaison with our Benefits company
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and remain current with changes in employment law

Skills and experience required:

 

  • Minimum 8 years progressively responsible experience in HR  including responsibility for recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance and other key areas of the HR spectrum
  • Experience with a small to moderate sized organization is preferred
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Bachelors degree in HR or related field is required
  •  Intermediate Word, Outlook and basic Excel and Power Point
