Snapshot of key accountabilities:

You will have full responsibility for all areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, payroll, policies and procedures, and compliance.  Key initiatives include:

  • Provide management and direction for an HR team of 8 in the corporate office and field
  • Enhance our recruitment program to attract and identify the best candidates at all levels with a pipeline of talent and timely filling of positions that will reduce turnover and increase retention
  • Improve communication between corporate HR and the field generalists and upper management
  • Create a formalized development program with career paths for current employees according to their unique needs
  • Review current policies to ensure a proper balance between compliance and business operations
  • Develop an HR strategic plan to address our growth plans over the next 2 years
  • Act as ambassador of our core values and ensure all employees are engaged in practicing them daily

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience in HR including strong recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, policies & procedures, compliance and other key areas of the HR spectrum
  • Experience in an industrial production environment strongly desired
  • Recruitment experience of all levels including technical positions (electro-mechanical, PLC, etc)
  • Experience working for a large company of at least 500 employees
  • Management experience of at least 5 direct reports
  • Exceptional business acumen
  • Strong intermediate skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Bachelors degree is a must, preferably in the HR field
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM certification is highly preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to visit our field facilities once a month and also as required
