GSD Contracting is seeking a detail oriented construction bookkeeper to join our team of talented professionals. Reporting directly to the President and Vice President, you will be responsible for the continued maintenance of in place financial controls, preparation of accurate and timely financial reports to ensure the daily financial operations and accurate reporting of the company’s finances and cash flows. Snapshot of key accountabilities:
- Accounts Receivable including deposits, invoicing and reconciliation
- Assist in and review of AIA Application for Payment forms
- Oversee all Accounts Payable functions including maintenance of vendor insurance forms and compliance with Florida lien statutes
- Prepare job cost reports and support Work In Process (WIP) schedules
- General Ledger including accurate posting to the GL, AR, AP, accruals, adjusting journals, reversals, depreciation and fixed assets and closing journal entries in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain and update chart of accounts
- Weekly cash balance reporting and monthly forecasting
- Ensure accurate posting of transactions through monthly review and analysis of general ledger and all financial statements
- Foster strong relationships with company’s banks, insurers, CPA or other financial institutions
- Procurement matters related to insurances, health & welfare
- Assist as liaison for the IT/Voice/Data operations of the company
- Real estate financial and property management matters for 10 commercial tenants

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:
- Minimum 3 years bookkeeping/accounting experience in the construction industry
- Understands job costing, WIP, and AIA forms and other construction related matters
- Experience with Computer Ease accounting software is highly desired
- Comfortable troubleshooting IT issues is highly desired (backup, telephone, laptops)
- Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook and Word
