Does the idea of helping to make a difference in the health of our livestock get you excited?  If so, read on!  Silver Bullet Water Treatment, based in Denver, is seeking a Sales Representative residing in the Troy or Columbus, OH area.  In addition to Ohio, you would also be covering Illinois, Michigan and Indiana.   You will have a huge impact on our growing company by driving new sales as well as installation and after sales service of our water treatment systems.  With the high concentration of hogs, turkeys and chickens, this territory has the potential to explode -– all we need is you!

Our unique technology:

Classified as an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP), Silver Bullet generates singlet oxygen atoms forming mixed oxidants, including highly reactive hydroxyl and free radicals.  AOP’s are recognized by the EPA as an effective and safe water disinfection method and hydroxyl radicals are the strongest oxidants that can be applied in water in various applications such as agricultural drinking water, industrial water treatment and cooling towers.   Water is the most important element in raising productive, healthy livestock.  Untreated or poorly treated drinking water can carry bacteria, fungi and parasites and can cause disease or death.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

You will be responsible for lead generation, pipeline management, sales and installation, and after sales service of our water treatment devices in the field.  Key accountabilities include:

 

  • Identify, build relationships and close new clients and distributors
  • Effectively nurture and maintain relationships with corporations, farmers and dealers in the assigned territory
  • Interact with a diverse employee and customer base in situations requiring tact, poise and diplomacy
  • Synthesize data retrieved from the site survey and translate insights into relevant, usable, actionable strategic and tactical recommendations to install Silver Bullet equipment
  • Support post-sales activities tracking customers reported defects and providing necessary information to solve problems
  • Adhere to company goals and objectives of safety, quality, business ethics, and budget

Traits required for success:

You have a hunter mentality and excel at building and maintaining relationships. Your persuasive and motivating style is critical to this position.  Working at a fast pace while paying attention to detail with strong follow up is required in order to maintain and grow your customer base. You do not shy away from trouble shooting problems nor challenging potential customers with your strong listening and communication skills.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • Strong sales skills with proof of past performance
  • Excellent understanding of the work ethic of a farmer
  • Agricultural experience and/or education is highly desired
  • Active driver’s license and clean driving record; willingness to travel statewide/regionally/nationally
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com
